Global Initiatives

ACUHO-I prides itself on being an international association. Members recognize the common bonds that unite campus housing professionals regardless of what country they work in, while also embracing the differences that make each operation unique. This spirit is enhanced by partnerships with international affiliates; independent associations that share the ACUHO-I mission of advancing the campus housing profession. The ACUHO-I Foundation supports this goal by funding programs designed to extend the reach of the association around the globe.

Supported Programs Include:

  • Financial support for faculty attendance at the Southern Africa Training Institute.
  • Support of BEST awards for individuals from regions outside the United States.

Dan Ocampo

Associate Director for Residential Life
University of the Pacific

ACUHO-I’s ongoing commitment to global education and partnerships would not be possible without the Foundation and members like you. As one of this year’s faculty for the ACUHO-I SAC Roelf Visser Student Housing Training Institute, I had the privilege of engaging with dedicated faculty and working with some amazing colleagues committed to a better future for higher education in South Africa. As the NACURH Advisor, I work with many talented young professionals who aspire to work in our field of student housing. It’s good to know that our future is bright, both here and abroad. Baie dankie. Ngiyabonga kakhulu. Ndiyabulela kakhulu. Ke a leboga. Thank you, ACUHO-I Foundation.
